Management of Periodontal Diseases Based on the Principles of Cause-Related Therapy

  1. Understand the prevalence, epidemiology, and natural history of periodontal diseases.
  2. Identify the etiologic and potential contributing factors of periodontal diseases.
  3. Apprehend the principles of cause-related therapy and apply them in managing patients with periodontal disease non-surgically.
  4. Recognize the limitation of non-surgical therapy.
  5. Utilize the simplified decision tree to manage their periodontal patients in daily practice.

Peri-implantitis: Prevalence Etiology Risk Factors and Treatment

  1. Understand the prevalence, epidemiology, and diagnosis of peri-implant diseases.
  2. Identify etiologic and potential contributing factors of peri-implant diseases.
  3. Apprehend both non-surgical and surgical therapeutic modalities of peri-implant diseases.
  4. Recognize the value of saving natural dentition, especially for patients at risk of developing peri-implant diseases.

He has also earned a Doctor of Dental Surgery from the University of Toronto. Furthering his expertise, Dr. Kwon completed his specialty training in Periodontology and earned a Master of Medical Sciences degree at the Harvard School of Dental Medicine, receiving the Hanley D. Epstein Award. A respected author and reviewer for leading dental journals, Dr. Kwon is committed to advancing oral health through compassionate care and innovative treatments.

Rahul C. Tase, DMD

Rahul C. Tase, DMD, is a highly skilled and compassionate dentist specializing in periodontics. Born in New York, he pursued his education in Georgia, earning Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Biology from Georgia State University. Inspired by a father-son dental team, he decided to pursue a career in dentistry, earning his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from Western University of Health Sciences in Pomona, California. Dr. Tase completed a General Practice Residency and a three-year specialty residency in Periodontics at Stony Brook University. He offers comprehensive periodontal care and dental implants to the Monadnock communities in New Hampshire and Vermont.
